    …I don’t trust a prebenchmark without ever actually being able to benchmark the game itself .

    It’s like trusting the auto manufacturers when they say how much fuel your car consumes…you know it’s a lie.

    Or when your ISP tells you to only use their speed test software to check speeds when their service is not delivering what is advertised.

      I mean there isn’t really much reason to build a demo that’s more optimized than the actual game would he, unlike with those examples I feel like to the kind of people who would actually download this and test it, it would be easy to verify if there’s any fuckery going on when the game actually comes out. It’s almost certainly just the engine from the game with most of the assets removed.
