Interesting how everyone, YouTube, Twitter, Reddit seem to try to to squeeze more money out of their platforms by making themselves shittier.
And it’s infuriating how so many charities, organizations, municipal governments, teams, and groups continue to use ONLY social media to post updates.
I refuse to join Facebook to see what’s happening around town or to read updates from our local police department on Twitter.
Talk about failing accessibility! These platforms should be the last place to post information and updates. It’s time to go back to when the internet actually worked properly.
I agree that it’s shitty that so many charities, organizations, and municipal governments (for instance) use social media to post updates and such. But ultimately they want to reach as many people as possible, and those people are on those platforms. It would be great if they could post in a way that was not directly linked to these mega greedy corporations that have completely sold out.
