I thought this part meant they had an open primary. It looks like they just pick what ballot they want. In my state, Independents don’t get to vote at all in a primary. That’s the only reason I have a party affiliation.

My mistake. I thought this part meant they had an open primary. It looks like they just pick what ballot they want.
In my state, Independents don’t get to vote at all in a primary. That’s the only reason I have a party affiliation.
