Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen has announced that 100,000 businesses have signed up for a new database of that collects ownership information intended to help unmask shell company owners.
The self-reporting is mandatory. It doesn’t take much imagination to see how it could be useful for prosecuting people using shell companies to commit financial crimes.
So y’all don’t believe she knows full well that this database of self-reporting will amount to nothing?
