No one is disputing the value of having that information and no one has problems with it because this data is all anonymized. The problem that the OP is referring to is when this data is collected without anonymization and used to bring harm to specific people based on their medical records. There’s no reason for anyone besides your doctor to have access to your medical records. Scientific studies require explicit consent to get that data.
