Hi folks,

Just found this community and curious about what everyone is either using as a daily driver or have got their eyes on in the EV space.

I’m from Vancouver, and a few years ago my partner and I bought a new Chevrolet Volt PHEV as a “bridge” car to get us through the next while as charging infrastructure scales out. We get about 100km of electric range in the warmer times and 70km in the winter. Perfect for our needs around Vancouver, while still giving us flexibility to drive out to Whistler or Banff for our vacation roadtrips.

So what are you driving?

2020 VW e-Golf. Have loved all 40000 KMs on it so far. Only costs over 3 years besides charging battery were new tires wiper blades, washer fluid, cabin air filter and added some weathertech floor mats. Looking to replace my RAM 1500 with an electric pickup in next 3-5 years and keep the e-golf until the battery dies for daily running around. Hopefully lasts 10-15 years.

I’m late to this thread but do you have any idea of which pickup you’re thinking about? The Rivian has such an interesting look I’m curious as to what people think about it vs something more traditional.

I’ll be looking at all options in 3-5 years as the different manufacturers bring their models into the market. I really like the Rivian and saw my first one about a month ago. Brief chat with owner and he said they love it. I’m curious about the RAM 1500 REV, as well and will be checking that out. Not a fan of the Telsa Truck, appernace wise and I don’t particularly like the Chev/GMC design but I’ll have to look at it when the time comes.
