      Implying their great-grandfather was fighting on the allied side. Or even that America was setting out to stop the Nazis. Similar to the union in the civil war, the war was about protecting empire, and not stopping evil.

        Alright, I can see the argument that America wasn’t all that interested in stopping Nazis in WWII. But come on. You can’t be suggesting the American Civil War was over anything other than slavery. The confederate leaders literally declared it themselves. Here are their original declarations.
