Or simply reconnect to the internet and try again.’ I am connected to the internet. As far as I am aware there is no Microsoft store for Android, and anyway I bought the game on the Google Play Store, so why shouldn’t I be able to play it?

    You’ve answered your own question: “I disabled google play on my main device”

    Your purchase is linked directly to google play. With google play disabled, the app can’t connect to google play services to verify the purchase.

    Pretty much every paid app on the play store will give you the same results. Same with paid features of otherwise free apps.
