The seed bags in the left are getting spawned from liquid culture. They will be ready in about a month or so to be mixed with a nice substrate of Coco Coir for fruiting. I, uh, got too excited with this batch. That is going to be about 6kg of grain spawn I have to use. Lol!
The mason jars in the front is expansion of liquid culture. So, I buy a syringe of culture from a vendor and then use about 1 or 2cc’s of it to expand the mycelium out for more grows. (I basically turn 2cc’s of LC into 500ml) At ~$20 per syringe, this is extremely economical.
What you can’t see, are additional jars that I am using to make more spawn. I take a pint jar and fill it will semi-cooked popcorn kernels, innoculate it with about 2cc’s of LC and they will be ready for some sawdust/soy hull substrate in a couple of weeks.

(For home gamers, I am using corn dextrose, malt extract and peptone for my LC mix and it works extremely well. It’ll generate some nice fluffy bits of mycelium which are easy to stir and break up.)
