    In winter, my wild rabbits ate the cutting right down so it was almost flush to the ground. Didn’t seem to bother it. At long as there’s some root mass it’ll pop up. Hardy plants, these.

    That’s the beauty of growing local/regional native plants - they’ve evolved to survive the climate and conditions here.
