This meshes with what I was told by my grandmother’s doctor early on in the pandemic. I met with him because my family had “concerns” about vaccinating her (i.e. conspiracy theories) and he basically said that COVID was one of the most cruel and agonizing ways to go, especially for older folks who were especially vulnerable.
