I’m not sure if it’s just the angle of the picture, but you seem to be having the same problem I had when first starting out; adding or removing stitches on different rows. Adding a stitch marker to the first stitch of every row really helps a ton (feel free to ignore my unsolicited advice though, “imperfect” crochet can be quite charming, and I always leave a few “mistakes” in every project).
