I believe this person is trying to say this was an agent provocateur. Since it was violence coming from the left wing side, we can make a guess that this could be a person in police issued boots or at least pushing someone in the group to do violence.
We already know right wingers are more violent, the left is much less so, more often than not it takes agents for the state to push them to do drastic actions so they can be cracked down on by the state.
