They would make more money long term by not being pieces of shit, they just can’t help but let greed get in the way of money. It’s a mental illness at that level.

I have a brother who used to work for a company like that, and all his jobs afterward he hated because they were ‘boring’ and ‘not competitive’ and he ended up quitting them all because he wanted everything to be blood sport. Now he is depressed and unemployed and puts all his rage into being a volunteer football coach.
