Previous handle was a pimple on a 2 way screw (no idea what these are called or how it was still holding on) so replaced it with one on 4 bolts on washers for a better grip.
After taking it off it appears that the screw was “sealed” in some sort of wood filler.





Assschually the square bit is for a square hole in metal plate, not the wood itself, so you dont have to hold the other end when tightening the but.
That being said ive misused them all kinds of ways
So these bolts are supposed to be exclusively used to fix metal sheets to wood? Interesting!
