The public (in large organized groups) needs to put enough pressure (and ongoing pressure) on them to overcome the other pressures they are facing.

The problem is they already have that pressure… from the mindless asshole morons on the other side, who are FAR more of a single mindset (i.e. mob mentality) than those who are more rational. At best, we cancel each other out, and that still leaves the oligarchs pulling Congress’ collective strings to the same basic effect.
