“Outlaws anonymous communication by requiring every citizen to verify their age…

To me that reads similarly to age restricted websites asking you to verify your age before accessing it, where you just input a date that says you’re old enough and then you’re set. I’ve been 99 years old for the last decade. Given what they’re trying to do, I wouldn’t be surprised if they use more extensive verification measures, but I haven’t read into that yet. If it’s just an age/DOB input, then it’s not really outlawing anything.

Except those same websites are now being forced to verify age using photos or government ID which will definitely be required in this case as well

It will be the same yoti nonsense that the UK is pushing in order to view porn… or just use social media features on your xbox…

This is all being done to aid private business. Get our data, tie it to us in a more direct fashion, and then profit while the safe guards that anonymity provide are destroyed. And they’ll do it while chatting utter dog shit about “protecting the kids”. I shit you not, Labour ministers in the UK started calling people paedos if they opposed the online child protection bill.

We had over 450,000 people sign a petition to get rid of the act. They didnt even debate it, as they are supposed to do. They just waved it away. We are all in the middle of a robbery. And most of us dont even know it.
