He really showed those facists by getting out of their way while he still had power to slow them down.

Yeah this is the one position in government where I agree with you. Military officials other government officials sure resign and get out don’t be part of it because all history shows you’re probably not going to stop anything you’re just going to participate. Judges on the other hand are the one position that can still do good. By stepping down he’s done nothing but help Trump.

This is what I dislike about Lemmy. A lot of folks want to continue to blame people even after they have spoken out in the clearest terms. Where is the good in that? It’s easy to be angry, but the country will never heal if we can’t accept those who express regret or remorse.

But they are not not blaming him for his past actions they’re blaming him for his current actions. They’re mad he’s stepping down.

Exactly. If his intention was already to retire while speaking against this administration, he would do more good by sticking it out a little longer as an activist judge and forcing the DOJ to fire him. He’s complying in advance.

Really? Sounds like blame for lack of past action to me.

Edit: I guess I could see the comment go both ways. I’m unsupportive if the idea is to blame the judge for letting things get to where they are.

The comment mentions nothing about past actions, only about the possibility of current actions. You are inferring what you want to, not what’s implied.
