To some extent this isn’t new. Lots of companies stopped hiring entry level positions ages ago and just hoped to hire employees that other companies had already developed.
that trend has been ongoing since last decade, AI just accelerated that. when i was looking for jobs in stem, all the listings were basically asking for expertise beyond entry level while offering entry level pay , but in reality they dont want to train people they expect you have the expertise already.
