Watching this a few months back took the little bits of guesswork out of the process for me, particularly as I had hard water at the time.
I was always skeptical of the claim that dishwashers were more economical and energy intensive than washing by hand, but actually being shown how the machine works and how to get it working properly has had me using it regularly ever since.
