Maybe a different religion, or especially political beliefs seems to be a big deal-breaker. Do you still find it worthwhile to keep them in your life?

I do. I have e.g. Christian Conservative friends, and Atheist Liberal ones, etc. I enjoy each one for what they are. I mean, nobody is perfect! (like me 😁)

    The question you originally posed wasn’t about about proselytization but merely co-existing. It’s not in my power to convince an ostensibly compassionate human being to stop being cruel and violent to vulnerable individuals. I don’t know why; it should be enough to show them the facts, to demonstrate that an alternative exists, but I know from a great deal of experience that it’s not persuasive. And knowing I cannot stop you from killing those I love several times a day, I still have to live with you.

    And you know what? It’s really, really hard.

      Yeah, it is, especially now with all the outside agitation stirring things up for the sake of their own gain.

        I don’t know what you are referencing. It has not gotten harder for me recently. It’s always been like this.
