minus-squarePhoenixzlinkfedilinkarrow-up8arrow-down1·25 days ago Chinese authorities have told people weighing less than 50 kilograms (7st 9lbs) I’m sorry, is a news article referencing stones as a unit of weight? I know the world has been going backwards in the past decade, but did we really just go back to the 1600s?
minus-squareRentlarlinkfedilinkarrow-up9·25 days agoIt’s a chiefly British way of measuring body weight. 1 st = 14 lbs, so 7 st 9 lbs = 107 lbs. Though honestly 50kg is closer to 7 st 12 lbs.
