To be clear as of that report the government was not acknowledging their failures to account for and prevent these atrocities not that they were actively committing them.

Sorry, wait, are you seriously comparing on-going full scale genocides by both of those countries against ones that definitely happened years ago? I don’t think anyone in this thread has said that a genocide hasn’t happened? Those two have literal news reports, videos, article outlining that they are happening.
