Trump started openly musing about making Canada the 51st state in December, and on Jan. 7 he said the United States might use the military to seize control of Greenland and the Panama Canal.
They frame it as if we rely on them. Meanwhile they’ve asked us for our help - never the reverse. It’s better if we cut them out so they can’t lie and gaslight us about military coverage. Just cut them out.
Yeah we’re not buying US weapons that come with their own kill switch, apps that need updating, continued trade to keep operational.
I hope we do move away from being reliant on their military materiel but I have my doubts.

Its a good idea to not be reliant on an unstable trade partner. In practice it’s going to be really difficult.
