Some thoughts on last night’s game:

    • I wasn’t a big fan of Schneider pinch hitting Kirk for Varsho after Varsho got a home run practically all on his own with elite baserunning: single, stole 2nd, skillfully went 2nd to 3rd on a grounder to the left infield that resulted in a force out at first, and stole home!
    • I thought it was a little odd how the Mariner’s stadium dimmed the lights (as if they’d won already) in the middle of 9th after their pitcher held the Jays scoreless to go to their half of the 9th inning.
    • It was cool to see Julio celebrate so much with Teo after Teo’s walk-off!

I didn’t make it to the end, just caught up via Jays in 30. I didn’t see who was on deck, but man, maybe put Teo on base there. Tough loss.

      Get Gausman some runs today!

Yeah, I had a bad gut feeling when they didn’t IBB Teo, but the guy batting 5th in their order is no slouch either. Tough call. More than anything in my mind, getting walked off by Teo, when your offence has only put 2 runs on the board, was close to the worst (edit: as in embarrassing to the Jays and their off-season moves) way to lose (barring player injuries)
