Scientists are wizards, programmers are sorcerers

The scientist has all the answers in his tomes, but the programmer has built a house on the discovery of an arcane trick and is content to not look to closely at it. Sometimes the scientist comes by and helps shore things up, but the scientist also avoids looking too closely.
