A joint project by The Local and St. Michael’s Hospital, the first-ever neighbourhood-level analysis of life expectancy in Toronto, reveals stark disparities across the city.
This data is somewhat flawed. There are people who live in apartments in my area that show life expectancy higher than normal. Alot of people in my building and surrounding buildings are lower class people who struggle to make ends meat and are only here because of long term rental agreements that make the rent affordable. If we were evicted tomorrow we could not afford to live anywhere else. They are gentrifying my area and we have tried so hard to fight it with city council turning a blind eye to everything. This is why i do not vote for councilors unless i can vet them for having no lobbying done on their behalf.
