The WNBA's newest team, to begin play in 2026, will be called the Toronto Tempo, with the franchise pointing to the city's "feel" and "energy" as inspiration.
Tempo is pretty mid to me. It reminds me of the Pacers. The alliteration feels a little strange. I wonder what they’ll do for a logo/mascot. All that said, I’m excited for a WNBA team to come to Canada!

The mascot should be a plastic garage, obviously.
Logo is in the article. Tempo is just so bland and boring. It’s like the Simpsons writers chose that nick.
They should have called it Toronto ICE, with a flying chair as the logo
