If we all get wiped out as a species on the planet … alien archeologists and geologists will look through the earth’s history and find our place in it as a period of sudden planetary changes, atmospheric changes and biological collapse … all of it will be obvious by the geological layer of planet wide contaminants, plastics and radiation we will leave behind … not to mention the climatic changes we caused recorded in rock / ice layers … as well as the obvious sudden disappearance of animals, fish and birds everywhere during our period.
Our paper, stone, architectural, material or even digital records may not last … but the record will be there on the planet’s geology for millions of years … whether or not our descendants will be there is questionable.
