Typically, in the front row of the plane, there’s more leg space since like you said there’s no seat there.

Why not under your own seat…logic dictates everyone gets their own seat, not everyone has a seat in front of them.
Because you can’t see under your own seat and the space under the seat in front of you is already where you store your feet. Typically, in the front row of the plane, there’s more leg space since like you said there’s no seat there.
