I’ve not really played with Linux Distros much in the past several years due to windows ERP software at work. It’s it still Wine or are there better solutions now for those windows only programs?
I’m not quite sure about all Windows software…
Wine is actively developed, and there are tools like Proton/Proton-GE as well which build on top of Wine.
Perhaps you can try out a distro in a virtual machine, and use Bottles or similar software which make things easy.

Wine is fucking fantastic now, and by extension dxvk, vkd3d, proton, etc
