Yep tried it multiple times. Quit > Clear Data > Uninstall > Reinstall from Google Play.

It’s a bit harsh and unfair to say “you are dumb enough to allow it”. Microsoft makes it damn near impossible to avoid this unless you are extremely particular and savvy about it, and never have an off day where you make a mistake while using your PC.

Nah gaming doesn’t even make a dent in their revenue. Gaming demand means nothing to their supply, demand and pricing.

I think I wouldn’t switch my 4 year old device even if someone gave me a new one for free. Just the hassle of changing to a new phone is not worth it when the new phone isn’t that much better. I’m just so over “tech”. I don’t have that excitement of new gadgets anymore.

Depending on when it was inflation could drive their costs up 3-5% over a year. When your margins are basically fixed by the govt at 12%, it makes sense to cover as much cost as they can.

The whole incentive structure is messed up because the govt “runs” defense companies like they are state owned without actually just making them state owned, or just letting them actually be private.
