2·1 year agoNeither solution is fair for some people. Being tempted into using your privacy as a currency, because you don’t have much money shouldn’t even be an option.

24·1 year agothere will be a lot of people left behind, as most can’t afford to donate or subscribe.
They do fall behind either way. If you can’t afford it, your privacy is exploited and you pay by being targeted by ads (if you don’t know your ways around it).

Linux@lemmy.ml•Is there a linux distro (or just a DE) that can be used like a Smart TV
1·1 year agoYou are right, I had a look at the documentation, made myself some icons and modified the standard config in /usr/share/flex-launcher a bit. Thanks!
Could you copy and paste the menu-entry you start jellyfin with here?

1·1 year agoMay I ask: did you write the config on your own and did you create the neccessary icons? Or is there a sample config somewhere, with some icons as well (jellyfin, youtube etc would be nice).

Die Mörder-Phrasen nach Charles Clark. Das wird nicht funktionieren! Wir haben nicht genug Zeit. Zu akademisch. Lasst uns erstmal eine Marktstudie machen.

You are the worst, please don’t drive.
And if that was the lesson you got on day 1 of your drivers education, go ahead and shoot your driving teacher, before he can spreas more nonsense. This might save a few lifes.

21·1 year agoUsing Kagi is not a bad decision. After reading a lot of positive things about it and beeing quite hyped, I was so ungently reminded, that every good thing comes with its own baggage of bad.
I thought I share it, so that everyone can make their own decision.
I also tried Metager, a german meta search engine. Sad to report: not usable for me, although I like their club (suma-ev) and donated some money towards them.
For now it’s DDG I guess. :-(

6·1 year agoIf your goal is to get away from this AI shit show, Kagi might not be the answer, according to their own blog.
I will search for a very interesting article you should read, before deciding to give kagi any money.
Edit: found it
In Germany you are only allowed to shoot your pulse laser with 24 giga-watt max. I guess it’s an EU law, so should be the same for all of europe.

Wer spricht da? Kann mal bitte jemand mit einem Pfeil aushelfen?
