It looks like it’s supposed to be a single lung. It looks identical to one from frame 2
Again, that’s added context. I don’t know how feeling like a man is stopping a women from anything. I don’t think that’s a necessary component of the statement at all, though i appreciate the reply
Whatever makes them happy I guess?
I think that’s one possible explanation, but it’s vague enough that it could be other things too.
I’m not sure how i feel about the post altogether. I mean, i understand that toxic masculinity is bad, but this post needs some assumptions and context to make me want to side with it. For example, if I saw some guy just kinda minding his business doing silly guy stuff and the context was he wants to “feel like a man,” i don’t think i would be offended or concerned?
r/justguysbeingdudes comes to mind
Can’t tell if sarcasm/trolling, but just in case:
I only like the albums they did with dave grohl on drums, the rest just don’t seem to hit for me.
I’m pretty sure that’s only songs for the deaf and a few songs on like clockwork. I can’t get into any of their other stuff.
I was thinking this as well, add in some bands (album suggestions in parens) like epica (holographic principle), kamelot (epica/black halo), Symphony x (divine wings of tragedy), and even a band like battle beast (circus of doom) or unleash the archers (apex) and i think op will have a good time
I think in this case, that’s actually the joke. Humor often is derived from subverting expectations rather than catering to them, which can be cringe.
I also definitely know a few couples this meme would actually apply to as written, so it does exist. But i also don’t think that plainly stating normal expectations is particularly funny.
I’ve watched this series several times, and i think a lot of what you are saying is fair, but i think you miss the point a bit on Barney. The entire show is a framed story of Ted retelling things that happened decades earlier. The way the show is written, Ted is making it seem like Barney behaves over the top, either to fit his narrative or simply because that’s how he remembers it.
One of the reasons it’s funny is because a lot of people know “that one guy or girl” who behaves that way, but then when you tell stories about that person you make it even more wild.
Lily does suck though, and I’m surprised she’s still friends with anyone
Yeah and that is an incredible amount of money, but at 13% of the budget, that still puts it fifth place in terms of categorical spending.
Yeah the crux of the issue here is whether or not they’re actually a relative, and if I’m expecting them.
Show up unexpected at 2am? I’m probably not opening the door for safety reasons. If it’s expected company but they’re just late, I’ll let them in.
I think they’re saying this:
Family meals would comprise of three restaurants worth of people since they’re all immortal
Separately, you can never retire since you will never hit retirement age
You know, that’s the first thing that caught my attention, and it’s actually kind of bothering me. I now want to pronounce it “ootopian” to make it work, but it’s just so wrong.
Not going to lie to you, this is exactly what i did :)
That is correct, it isn’t the default view, it’s the electrification view, which OP inferred they were using (the title says electrification map). If you open the link, the orange is worldwide general rail infrastructure.
If you click the top right options button (the 3 line “hamburger” icon at the far top right, separate from the map layers), you’ll see an option for electrification. This is the map they shared.
The grayscale option actually only grayscales the territory, not the infrastructure. I hope this helps clarify the situation.
I do agree that a legend would have been helpful.
I think the original poster posted this intentionally as sarcasm because there is so little color in the image. If you look at the original image and look at the USA North east near new york, you’ll see a few meager lines that are various colors (as well as a few slivers in south and central america, and what looks like a dot in los Angeles). This is showcasing just how little electrified rail exists in the americas.
It may not seem like it, but it is actually in color. I’m on mobile and am able to see it. If you’re not able to, it may be an issue with your app or method of viewing the post.
It’s from God emperor of dune, i think it’s the fourth book in the series by publication, but not chronologically.
I guess this might be a spoiler if they eventually make it a movie, but basically, the son of Paul merges himself with a sand worm and becomes effectively immortal. It’s both interesting and bizarre.
There’s a lot more to it than that but i don’t want to ruin the story for anyone
I’ve heard this! Apparently, he was researching why beer was spoiling, and he had done no research on milk whatsoever.
