In Memex crowd thinking environment for thoughts unthinkable to separate beings, human-machine general intelligence raises superintelligent offspring to help all life.

Similarly, when ordering a taxi: Which app or phone number for the nearest taxi? Nobody knows.
Similarly, when trying to find a shared-use e-scooter or e-bike: Which app for the nearest wheels? Nobody knows.
Similarly, when ordering food: Which app for the quickest-delivered gluten-free, milk-free, egg-free meal? Nobody knows, and the apps probably don’t even have the filters, because who has time for that when you have to develop 15 redundant apps doing the same job poorly.
Free market economy - isn’t it great!
When these people are fired for “not doing anything important”, everyone else’s work suffers.
My bank’s mutual fund let me buy and sell at yesterday’s price, so every time the stock market went up, I bought, and when it went down, I sold. I talked to a teller about it, wondering how much money the mutual fund rule designer had pumped out of the bank by then. They quickly changed the rule into a non-insane form: today’s price.
I should have just shut up and kept pumping money out of the idiot bank, but I was young and stupid. The bank was in the game, the bank was fair game.
Price is not value. Gold is more valuable (useful) than lead, whatever the price. Clean air was cheap and valuable, now it must be created in a lab.
I ate lots of deep fried mild beige stinky tofu in Taiwan, like the one pictured in the thumbnail. Once I had a meal with a bit of old grey stinky tofu - the smell of summer garbage was disturbing. Try the slightly aged mild beige stuff first.
While we’re at it, try a translucent thousand year egg too, preferably as part of a dessert. Not bad, just weird.
Oh. I didn’t see hate like that. I hate it when my toes get wet after I’ve walked through a puddle. I hate clam dishes. All your mom did was resemble mine.
I’ve never met her, but I hate her. My mom is almost as bad, going to weird lengths to misunderstand.
A conservative distro of Linux is more reliable than Windows. Debian or something. Overwrite the Windows so it can’t break the boot menu. Apple I don’t know about.
I used to not finish most of my projects not feeling fun or important anymore, and felt bad about it.
Then I had a car modification project that I felt I had to finish to earn my self-respect, no matter the suffering.
I damaged my health with the dusts and vapors involved, and had to redefine finished (not like I wanted, just MOT-tested and saleable) to get out of the project.
Now I take only important projects seriously and avoid side projects. I do easy side projects to relax.
Now ban high-speed vehicles from cities. Anything that can go over the speed limit.

If we delete all disinfo including the canonical lunatic post I suggest, we’ll push the lunatics into their echo chambers with no-one to prove them wrong, and then they’ll vote wrong in elections. Somebody has to refute the russian propaganda in a place where the believers read it. My idea is a way to do it without letting disinfo flood Lemmy.
If the blocklist subscription isn’t part of Lemmy registration procedure, a new user will see tankies and leave.
How about containing the trolls under one canonical troll post? See comment https://lemmy.world/comment/14443401
Let’s say every community allows one lunatic post. It’s downvoted to hell and thoroughly refuted in the comments.
Every time someone tries to say the same thing again under a different post, the comment gets a reply “[lunatic opinion] was refuted under [lunatic post link] - you may comment there” and then the stray lunatic comment is removed. Only the reply stays to inform other lunatics. Other comments saying the same lunatic opinion again are removed, because the canonical reply linking the canonical lunatic post is already in the comments. All discussion about the lunatic opinion will be contained under the canonical lunatic post.
Would this work?

And then you trampled your own human rights by privatising healthcare and legalising propaganda.
