It’s me again, hi all.

I received my replacement phone, and it’s been nothing but issues since. Android System Intelligence has crashed multiple times, and Bluetooth keeps disabling itself for no discernable reason. I’ve tried everything short of factory reset (because I’m on a work trip and can’t risk losing my MFA apps).

I regret ever purchasing a Google product at this point. Buyer beware.

Also: Google, if you’re reading this, do better. I know you won’t, though.

I’ve had a pixel 6 for 18 months with only a few minor issues. Maybe your device is faulty? I’d return it

I just can’t get over how bad actual cell service is. If my phone isn’t on wifi it’s basically a brick.

Sorry for your frustrations! I’ve had the P6Pro since launch and been really enjoying it. Beautiful camera and good signal most everywhere I go.

Same here. The P6P is without doubt the best phone I’ve ever had, I don’t recall having any issues with it.

The Pixel 6 series had its issues due to being the first in the new line featuring the G2 chips, etc so I understand your frustrations. However, the issues you described sound software related and could be caused by the backup you restored when you signed into the new phone. I know, it’s inconvenient under the current circumstances but a factory reset would very likely correct these issues, once able to restore only your personal data and redownload & install your apps fresh. It’s hard to diagnose an issue without being able to look at the phone so I’m speaking as to what I would try if I was in your situation.

Yeah, sucks to have two in a row. I think the likelihood is a little low that I “won” the lottery twice. But statistics are weird. Either way, replaced it with a Fold 4 and love the new device.

I’m really sorry you’re having such a crappy experience and especially on a work trip. I had a six and liked it. I only got rid of it because I got a good trade-in deal on the 7. The only issues that I’ve really had with mine are it sometimes disconnects from Android Auto in my husband’s car, and in very very bright sunlight it’s hard to see the screen. Is it possible that you got a second faulty one?

I have a Pixel 6 and never ran into those issues. It’s bizarre that we have the same hardware (and presumably software), yet some folks run into multitudes of problems.

I’ve owned a Pixel ever since 4 and am currently using a 6. This is a stable platform that keeps it’s charge for a long time and has solid performance. Are there improvements that could be made? Sure, the fingerprint reader doesn’t work well even if your fingers are just slightly dirty. The swipe from the edge as your “back” button can cause you to go back unintentionally. Overall though, there’s no bloatware from carrier or phone maker to contend with the OS. I’m not some fanboy, but am definitely sticking with this line. I think OP got a bad device or is loading something questionable.

I can’t speak for the P6 but I can tell you the P7 is a fantastic phone from my experience. Really just zero issues since I got it last year.

I guess I’m just unlucky then. My pixel 7 has annoying login issues and the battery will randomly suck some days.

The fingerprint reader is completely non-functional and when I put my pin in, 60% of the time it will take a good 5 to 10 seconds to unlock.

Even when the fingerprint reader is working it will ask you for the pin “for additional security” grrr. I think I used to get a 50% success rate with the fingerprint reader, though it does seem a lot better recently for some reason. I didn’t change anything, so maybe a software update unfucked it.
