    I’ve seen the windfarms in TX. I am neutral about it. Not too ugly, but certainly not attractive, either.
    I’d love to see some design contests for windmills to have them become more like artwork. I used to visit a small town to shop that had a lot of ugly electrical boxes by streeet corners. Not sure if the guy did it without permission or was commissioned to do it, but, one by one, he went around town painting the ugly electrical boxes, making each one a unique piece of artwork. They are now almost a delight to see. I wonder if a trellis could be attactched to the column, an expensive flowering vine cultivar planted around the base, and have it made prettier that way…

      I grew up in Germany and we always had windfarms as long as I can remember. I don’t think of them as annoying at all, just like huge power lines that you see in the landscape.

        Beauty is in the eye of the boholder, I guess. I love practical things that do double duty as artwork. i am a weirdo.
