You can find communities on whichever server you’re on (looks like you are using lemmy.ml) from the search, or if you see a post from that community you can click on the name. Either way, communities on your server will have a url like
/c/community, whereas communities not on your sever will have a url like/community/17561. You can subscribe to either in the same way, by just clicking the subscribe button! Here’s an example you can test out onI actually learned that the best way to subscribe to communities from another instance through search is to do !community_name@server_instance .
