In Trump’s latest Truth Social post, he shares a disgusting video depicting a golden statue of himself, a sky scraper with his name on it, a superyacht on the Gaza coast, him holding hands with a female entertainer in a night club wearing a see-through gown, him & Netanyahu shirtless together sipping alcohol on the Gaza coast with a sign that says “Trump Gaza,” and money raining down with kids jumping up to grab it.

All the signs of what many would call the antichrist, yet the religious-right is convinced he’s their savior. He wants to turn Gaza into a Las Vegas style resort with his name plastered everywhere.

Yeah, you can tell the Democratic party is a far superior organization if only because they have a few people in it who were willing to call out Biden and Harris’s support for genocide, where meanwhile the whole Republican party will support Trump no matter what he says or does

Remember how Al Franken’s career basically ended when that (certainly creepy and gross) picture of him groping a sleeping soldier came up? That the attitude in general among Dems was “yeah that’s pretty fucked up”?

Unfortunately the issue is those voices get mocked & suppressed by the establishment Democrats in the major public positions of the Democratic Party that are beholden to their donors. I personally would love to see a new party emerge after all this that has a more progressive public agenda.

Best bet is probably progressives just taking over Dems the same way MAGA has it’s roots in the Tea Party shit decades ago. Otherwise it’s simply not possible without pretty substantial election reform, something neither party has interest in.

True but Alaska has already accomplished passing electoral reform. Republicans even tried to go back to First-past-the-post voting with a referendum last election and it didn’t pass.

So now the question is why are the democrats using a voting system republicans prefer and protect in red states?

Same reason we don’t have single payer healthcare, they can’t get enough votes and have way too much respect for the institution to play dirty.
