There is another big advance on the way soon called KPAP which changes the algorithm quite significantly and will allow quite a bit less pressure most of the time and should improve the way the therapy works. All the big manufacturers are involved in machines for it and should fix a lot of the issues APAP introduced.

I have one much like this (in the US) which is a different brand. It’s not app controlled, I have a remote that uses induction to talk to the implant (but not charge it as far as I can tell, it’s just a ten year permanent battery)

CPAP didn’t work well for me and this seems to help. My implant’s brand is ‘Inspire’ which is a breathing pun. (Synonym of inhale) But of course this is not medical advice, talk to your doc, etc.

Hey I’m in the US and have struggled with my sleep apnea and I just can’t handle the CPAP machines so now I’m looking into surgery or maybe something like this. Any chance you can share more of your experience?

Have you looked into a dental appliance? I used to use one of those, it would shift my lower jaw forward to help me breathe.

It’s not perfect, but if CPAP doesn’t work for you, it might be an option. Maybe something to talk about with your sleep doc
