I really like the visual style of this poster!
I do have some suggestions on some things that might improve it:
- Try to minimise text and maybe use bullet points
- Explain “federated social networks” instead of decentralisation. Decentralisation has many meanings but the meaning of “federated social network” is more specific
- Emphasise that anyone can host an instance for their friends/community
- Because anyone can host an instance and become part of the network, the people who actually contribute to and run communities have more power and control (you could also say it takes control from corporations and gives it to the communities themselves)
I think what you have now is really good and informative
Personally, I’m a fan of minimalist design, but I don’t think this one is really pleasant to look at.
The white backgrounds are unbalanced.
The logos are over-stylised. We know what they are because we’ve seen the logos for these platforms.
The font could be better.
♪ Lemmy the green-nosed lemmur had a very shiny nose ♪
But in all seriousness, while the stylized logo versions are certainly neat, I’d advise using the actual original logos here to make them more recognizable
Love this!
Thank you!
Thank you for making this, the style is excellent and I think it’s very inspired and this is some really good outreach that people should be doing in my opinion.
Do you think you’re going to make any others?
Thanks! I’m definitely interested in making others. Maybe I can focus on specific platforms?
