Normally don’t think these style updates fit here all the time but Elisa (music player) looks quite good and being able to get USSD codes and DTMF tones working in the dialer of the PinePhone is a great QoL improvement for those looking to go all-in on a Linux device.

How do they not? This is literally a community about Linux phones, and these are updates for one of the big Linux mobile platforms.

Hmm I guess I phrased that badly, but if the update is over desktop aspects or would have featured say a redesign that wasn’t as readily usable on a mobile device like the PinePhone I wouldnt have posted it (if that makes sense?).

I liked this update since it was specific with the benefits to mobile users with examples given, and I think my statement of reluctance is to do with my thoughts not fully shifting into the “one UI” mentality that is possible; it’ll catch up with me eventually!

I tried installing plasma mobile on virtualbox recently, but wasn’t able to boot after installation. The live CD looks better than I expected, admittedly.

Ive never used it beyond testing one of the PinePhone images via SD card but that was awhile back. I do find myself liking the look of it for mobile quite a bit though!
