That article reads almost identical to another one about four years ago, written by the same guy.

    https://www.theguardian.com/technology/2018/jul/23/tech-industry-wealth-futurism-transhumanism-singularity

I remember people were doubting the story back then since he provided no actual proof of these meetings, but I believed it to be true. Now this guy is writing basically the same shit except its tech execs instead of hedge fund managers. I’m gonna call double bullshit here. He doesn’t seem to even reference the previous (apparently extremely relevant) article in this one published today. Why?

I was a bit confused as well at first, but I think later in the article it becomes clear that the same meeting is ment and the main point of this article is to describe what happened in the years after.

He said they both inquired about shock collars on their security forces. While I would never put it past billionaires to use corporal punishment like that, I doubt they would fly out this rando columnist guy for a consultation on how to control their employees after the apocalypse, let alone TWICE and ask the same exact questions.

Again… same meeting. Did you only read the first 3 paragraphs?

It doesn’t matter if the original meeting took place or not, the article is mainly about all the people that contacted this author after he published the original article in 2018.
