      Uhmm… sure you can argue about the details, but some billionaires like Bill Gates did in fact voluntarily put a lot of money into causes like this.

      Don’t get me wrong, I think there shouldn’t be billionaires in the first place, but this does have a chance of succeeding even though I doubt Musk specifically will do it in the end.

    The UN’s food-assistance branch, the World Food Programme, laid out how it believed $6.6 billion in funding could prevent 42 million people across 43 countries from starving in 2022. The head of the WFP, David Beasley, called out Musk, the world’s richest person by far, in a tweet announcing the proposal.

    UN and richest man alive debating whether 42m people should live or die. This is violence.
