I wanted to share my experience and ask for advice.

I have great grandparents - they’re around 80 years old, but know how to use smartphones and computers, even if they do it slowly and use these technologies primarily on the surface level (like making calls, reading news online, sending emails, using Google photos).

I tried to introduce them to a password manager and a VPN. We signed up, and I had to explain some things that I found obvious to them, and I thought it was a little scary if they messed something up (like writing down their master password in an Excel sheet…).

So, do you guys also take care of your elderly relatives in that way? What are the essentials you found you need to mention them so that they don’t have their minds blown but understand the must-dos and the certain don’ts? And any advice on helping them use English security products, not in their native language?
