I’m glad someone tried this out and shared their results. I’ve been curious about going this route since I moved to using discourse as my blog platform of choice. I think based on what I see I’ll keep watching things develop here but discourse is still fitting my need pretty well.
Also give https://movim.eu a try. It is XMPP based and includes a nice web based chat client as well. It will be also soon possible to interact with Mastodon etc soon via the Libervia gateway.
